I have been really busy with fixing up my house and trying to get it ready for the spring buying season (I’m Late!). I have bought a bunch of wood for new trim around the exterior windows and doors and I was able to get all the lumber cut and painted this last weekend. Next weekend comes painting the whole house! I am not looking forward to the work… But I am looking forward to the finished product.
I decided to record some more tunes on the fiddle.
The Tunes:
Irish Washer Woman:
I have been working on Irish Washer Woman for around 2 years and I have had trouble keeping my rhythm. I finally made a “I’m not quitting till I get it” Marathon run to figure out how to stay in the beat on the second part. I think it came out okay.
Billy In The Lowground:
Billy in the Lowground is a tough tune for me to play I don’t get to play it with a “second” much because its in “C” and the “second” has an old timers index finger that has arthritis in it so bad that “C” tunes he cant play long. I still tried though.
United States March:
This tune “United States March” was my first tune I ever learned. You’d think it would be the best one I could play well its not… but its a good tune. I got it from one of Bob Holt’s Tapes that Ashley Hull gave me.
