Getting back to almost basics

Philosophical

Well this is my first post of what I hope will be many posts. I wanted to create this because of the enjoyment I have for the old time heritage we have. I enjoy everything from fiddle making (and refurbishing) to blacksmithing; I like everything from log cabin building to draft horses and wagons.

I have an aggravation with how our society and how we have allowed all morality to be thrown out the door for the sake of “not offending” someone. If a person is wrong about something they should be offended because it might make them think about what they are doing. There is a such thing as “Absolute Truth” and its based on a “Standard” and we have lost what that standard is. One of the reasons things old time interests me is because it represented a time when life was viewed as a gift from our Creator. Now we view it as a right to be able to do what ever a person chooses and they should never have a consequence to their action. Money is the rule of this country. We cannot even attempt to live simple because property taxes will run you off your own land.

Okay got my rant out I feel better now. This is not the general type of topic I plan on posting but it will help you to see where I am coming from.

Anyone who reads this blog I hope will offer some comments. I plan on putting more up but for now its just this.

Oh I have a fiddle refurbishing project I am working on. You can see it here at my website. You can also learn more about me there also.
